How to get to A to Z Diving at Whatuwhiwhi, Karikari Peninsula, Doubtless Bay, Far North, Northland, New Zealand, nz

Whatuwhiwhi (fot-ö-fê-fê) is located on the Beautiful Karikari Peninsula in the sub-tropical Far North of New Zealand. Due to its quaintness it is not represented on many maps but be reassured it's there. And yes we do have phones and electricity!

How to get here...

From Auckland:

By land:
An approximate 4 hour drive from central Auckland heading north on State Highway (SH) 1 following the signs to Whangarei. Stay on SH1 for approximately 2.5 hours from Auckland where you turn right to SH10 just short of Pakaraka and heading towards Kerikeri and Doubtless Bay. Six kilometers past Taipa turn right to the Karikari Peninsula (Inland Road). Follow the signs to the Whatuwhiwhi Holiday Park 18 kilometers from the turnoff.

By air:
If the sound of a 4 hour drive does not tickle your fancy, Air New Zealand Link flies from Auckland to Kaitaia once or twice daily. The flight takes approximately 40 minutes and, if you book your dives with us, a free shuttle from Kaitaia airport to Whatuwhiwhi will be arranged.
